Home. What makes it so?

Someone I love lives out of an old car,  subletting a room  when a friend goes out of town.  Another young wanderer has an efficiency apartment on a university campus in a Korean river valley.  A third spends winter afternoons by a fire in a cabin on a frozen lake in the north woods. I’m bundled in sweaters sitting at my computer, a set of paints nearby. This year I’m painting places and whatever I find that brings them to life.
